Baby got a sunburn?
My 3 month old was with me at a parade today. It was hot but not too hot .. He had a brimmed hat on her, kept her in the shadow of the majority, and was in a stroller with a canopy of shade, but did not help! His face and nose burned. under the eyes, forehead too. I said in my last visit I couldnt put solar on a baby less than 6 months. My Ped told me to keep it out of direct sunlight and that she wear a hat, and just be careful. I was and she still has a bit of burn. She scratched her, and wakes up crying from a dream now because of it. I put a little aloe juice in it, but no creams … What else can I do? I used a cold washcloth and just placed it there, but have absolutely nothing to do with it.
This remedy is tested and has worked for me and my mom for years. It's a bit offensive, but surely! A cloth wet with cold water, but not wring – pour about 4-5 tablespoons of vinegar in it (any kind of works) and pat the burned area with a damp cloth. You can also leave your clothes in the skin, if it helps ease the pain. Allow skin to air dry. You take the sting and redness will disappear soon.
