I think it's a GREAT idea! I've been watching videos of him and I think its wonderful. let me know if you have any expreince in this and want to know what words their children have learned and how it has been his family.
I have mixed feelings encountered. My first reaction was that it is large-that really helps young children communicate their needs. But after working in a daycare center child, I have also seen the negative thereof, such as older children who never really understood the concept of words because they had signed their needs. However, I believe that communication is most important, so I'm working on teaching my daughter some. If you are interesting in a DVD that helps the fun, Baby Einstein makes a "My First Signs" DVD that has lots of big words and expressions. It helped me refresh my words and my daughter, but too young to fully understand, enjoy too!
